Spider-Man #63 synopsis

the plot: Spider-Man and the Scarlet Spider continue to track down the new Dr. Octopus, while Mary Jane collaspes and is rushed to the hospital. Seward Trainer, a trusted family friend and Doc Ock's father, tries to have medicine delivered, but it's intercepted and used as a bargaining chip to get Seward's technical knowledge and secrets. Ock gets Seward in her lab and short-changes Peter, so the two Spider-Men go after her. Ock is defeated and her lab destroyed, Seward and the cure are saved, and everyone races to save Mary Jane. It's later at the hospital that Peter realizes that he can't keep doing this, that he can't be Spider-Man anymore as long as Mary Jane and their child needs him. It's with that that Peter hands the mantle of Spider-Man over to Ben Reilly, the Scarlet Spider.
