Samchorage Goes on the Warpath

In a news release to the world, the President of Samchorage announced a new aggressive policy for his Great Power in order to begin a "Third Era". Samchoragean intentions are for its own protection and that of its allies against enemy powers.

The abandonment of the No First Strike Polcy has unnerved many world leaders. Experts doubt the existence of a Samchoragean enemy and are worried that the move is nothing but a smokescreen to appease the hawks in the Samokritzg.

Word of the change in foreign policy hit parliaments all over the Mapp quickly, generating the following official statements. The Chief Hobo of Portalto is quoted as saying, "Though I am flattered by Samchorage's noble new foreign policy to protect its allies, I am concerned that Samchorage may end up involving itself in matters that does not concern him, or may end up in a situation in which matters may prove to be complicated...".

The Prime Chancellor of Marcusburg has expressed grave concern over the development and stated, "The aggressive new stance in Samchorage foreign policy is understandable but completely unnecessary. Although Marcusburg will support its great Samchorage ally, it is not in the best interests of any nation to disturb the status quo".

The President of Kamograd released this statement: "The Republic of Kamograd is bound to the empire of Samchorage, if the President of Samchorage requests our help in carying out his foreign policy, we will provide assistance as dictated by the circumstances".

Ethnarch Jussolini of Rattanjeetland is reported as having said, "All nations have a right to security and prosperity and I agree that none should be allowed to interfere in that right... be it Rattanjeetland, El Hussaq, or Samchorage".

In Siggary, reporters heard this story, "As the Queen of Siggary, a peaceful democratic nation, I am dismayed to find that Samchoragean citizens find the need to adopt such a severe no-tolerance foreign policy. I hope it will not destroy the short and fragile peace that was achieved lately. However, Samchorage has not taken any hostile action so far and I urge the citizens of the Mapp and their leaders to not jump to any conclusions".

The Prime Minister of Gorditas released the following statement: "We are in support of our ally's new military policy but we remain hopeful of diplomatic conclusions to future conflict".

The move has already generated ripples in the diplomatic world and is sure to shape affairs on the Mapp in the weeks to come.
