Just a few words for now on how the District Squadrons are doing on membership. As of Tuesday, March 18, 2008 the District had renewed 276 members towards a goal of 320 members. According to Detachment this puts the District at 86% of our goal. I know we will reach our Goal prior to the Department Convention at the end of June. The District is working with eight Squadrons and each has submitted some membership and since the Sons of The American Legion does not have a renewal notification system, it will be necessary for each Commander, Adjutant or Membership Chairman to contact the members of your Squadron and remind them it is time to renew their dues. Lets each of us work on membership and keep the District advised of upcoming events so that they can be added to this page on the web or added to the 20th Districts Newsletter.

Members don't forget that we will be holding the Mighty 20th District Squadron Convention at the Oak Hills Medical Center Hotel at 7401 Wurzbach from Friday, April 4th (this day will only be hospitality hosted by the Candidates for District Legion offices and begins at 6:00pm) thru Sunday, April 6th. Our meetings will begin at 2:00pm on Saturday the 5th and 9:45am on Sunday, April 6th. The Sunday program will include the elections of District Squadron Officers for 2008 - 2010. Please plan to attend this most important two day event. ,
