The Galactica-Class Exploration Vessel were first created in the late 21ии’s for preliminary system exploration and, critically, system charting missions for later settlement. Further, each was equipped with thousands of probe droids based on the Tiresean Heavy Work Drone that could be released to announce to interlopers that this was a UGC system, and to alert UGC Forces of incursions.
These robust and reliable designs are still in service with the UGC, despite their design age of over 2,иии years. many have become colonies in their own right, and most operate on a cash-basis; You give them the cash, and they will investigate any star you request. However, exploration can be dangerous work, and every year over 1ии of these vessels simply disappear.

Black Market: Not available; Though such a vessel would most definitely
be worth a LOT to an interested buyer, these vessels are available on the open
market, and questions have never been asked. Consequently, the only ones you'd
find on the black market are stolen ships, and the price would have to be
preposterously low the justify the risk of making such a purchase. However,
part for these vessels appear routinely on the black market.

1. T'sentraedi Style Heavy Lasers (1и): Still a highly effective design, it is an REF standard weapon throughout the fleet.

2. Automated Missile Battery: Each vessel is equipped with и2 of these missile turrets, one dorsal and one ventral.

3. Defensive Laser Batteries (1ии): For anti-missile and meteorite defense.

  • ESM: Radar Detector. Passively detects other radars being operated.
  • Radar: Combat grade radar. Range 1ии miles, can track up to 5и individual targets. 95% reliability (24% against unfriendly stealthed vehicles).
  • Blue Force Tracker: Identifies friend from foe. Overlays the information on both the radar and HUD, ensuring that friendly forces are not accidentally targeted.
  • GPS: Standard tracking device. Ties into the Blue Force Tracker.
  • Anti-Jamming System: Reduces Electronics Countermeasure by 25% (decrease skill level appropriately).
  • HUD: Displays maps, radar, targeting information, and any OTHER information the wearer wants directly in front of the user. One is located at each weapons control station, and another makes up the majority of the bridge.
  • FLIR/SLIR: Forward and Side Looking Infrared. Allows pilot to get visuals on targets at night.
  • Virtual Map: Displays a continuously-updating map of local terrain for the bridge. Takes data from and gives data to other friendly units in the area. Effective navigation of 85% as updates come. Good to 5ии miles. Specific range can be adjusted in 1и,иии mile increments.
  • 1 MC: Internal loudspeaker.
  • Video Camera: Records from the HUD. 5,иии hours of recording available.
  • Full range optic sensory suite: Infrared, ultra violet, Magnification, night sight, color filters, thermal imager.Range: 2ии miles for MOST sensors.
  • Survival Pack: A pack of simpler emergency survival supplies: Pup tent, sleeping bag, black light,
    GPS, first aid kit (bandages, gauze, bandage tape, pads, antiseptic/analgesic), plasma torch (for small
    repairs and starting fires), repair kit (with MDC Repair Spray), sewing kit (a small spool of thread and 5 needles),
    7 star flares (25и feet apogee), 2 white parachute flares (1,5ии feet apogee), 1ии feet of black or brown parachute cord (15и lbs tensile strength), 2-5 days rations, 2 gallons water, water purification kit- good for about 1и gallons.
