It's amazing how
     the night creeps in
     in a wave of blackness
     It's fascinating 
     how close it gets
     when you're alone with the shadows
     It's only my thoughts
     echoing in my mind
     no voices in the dark
     It's only the house
     settling for the eve
     no need to look behind me
     It's only the wind
     sighing against the trees
     I'm sure nothing's after me
     It's only the lightning
     flashing in the sky
     nothing in the corners move
     It's only the rain
     running along the windows
     there's no blood on the walls
     It's only a few hours
     'til mommy and daddy are home
     and I'm not afraid
     of being all alone
