Welcome to the Den of the SandWolf |
I'm a wolf lover, as you may have surmised. I love wolves, and I suspect that I always will - and I hope that many of you out there share my obsession. It's a good kind of obsession. Alright! The pages are all up now, except for a few of the Galleries, and that will shortly be remedied. Most of the Galleries are up, though, so that's okay. There is no longer any real need for a link here to the old site! I can actually get rid of the old Homestead place for good; I can delete the whole thing. And I will, once I get around to it - for now, I want to get the Galleries up on this site. I am thinking about adding a guestbook to this page, but I don't think that's going to happen. People will end up being rude in it, and such, so that probably won't happen. I will think about it, though. Okay, more good news! I am going to make those coyote pages that I promised at the old site here soon. So you can now look forward to not only wolf stuff, but coyote stuff as well. |

It's quite sad, actually. Our cousins, the wolves, are slowly dying off. Wolves were once very common animals. Very common. They ranged all over North America. Now, where can they be found? Only in some places, these days. There is currently a project going on to reintroduce wolves into Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming, but some of those wolves have already died. Take Wolf #10 for example: shot. Actually, I heard that that project has been abandoned. Can anyone verify that for me? Seeing or hearing about wolf killings saddens me, making me wonder what this world truly holds for us. If we, as humans, so "dominate the world" that we senslessly kill off whole entire species of animals that have just as much right to live as us, then what value is there to life and thus to survival? How is it that we, as the "rulers of the world," think that we have a right to do anything we want? Like chopping down the rainforest just so that we can have one simple, small little luxury? We do things just so that we can have one more little insignificant luxury! Does anyone ever think of the consequences? Yes, but far too few. Far too few. |
