All offered games are only for good or expert players.
In average we are starting two new games a year. Therefore please contact us, if you have interest to join one. We will inform you about the current new_game status and set you on our list - at wish.
Our games usually run 100 turns (= at least 1 year). That means, you need a long hold
out.
We prefer only players taking their turn reliable. NO
quitters!
For every game there is a neutral administrator - coordinating everything. Settings, xyplan, hosting times, questions. Settings are typically determined by the administrator, the shiplist and our suggested improvements (Hints for Hosts). Minor changes are voted by the players.
IMPORTANT
In order to check your playing level, we please you to answer at least 5 of our 6
questions. Moreover, a reference of at least one good game result (Pos. 1-3) in another
foreign Internet game is recommended.
If you are "only" looking for a PList2.2 game - just to test our settings, the PLIST or your skill - you are welcome to join PList2-Planetsserver game.
This game is based on our Hints for Hosts rules.
We had a cooperation with Disturbed Autohost, a full automated and excellent host on a FreeBSD platform by Matt Rathgeb. (Thanks!) Now, we are using our own SPARC Solaris server Blutmagie Autohost.
Questions
(They are based on PHost.)
1) A Loki is moving from planet A to planet B (distance 48 LYs), while a cloaked MBR is moving to planet A in the same turn. Becomes the MBR decloaked? Why?
2) An enemy has taken over a starbase without any fight ("NUK", "Force Surrender", 150 Defences, not protected by ships) by a SSD towed by a MBR. How could this happen?
3) Your lonely DeathStar is orbiting one of your planets. You feel the presence of Privateer MBRs around you. However, you have a lack of fuel. How can you avoid to be robbed and TowCaptured that turn.
4) Your Swift is scouting enemy territory. How can you scan for wormholes, while you are doing a Standard Super Spy (no FC change) at a foreign planet.
5) How can I convert supplies into duranium and tritanium in one turn using only one Merlin?
6) You own a starbase which is protected by one of your Gorbies and a SSD. You expect an incoming hostile robot fleet next turn. Now you like to attack them - first by your Gorbie, followed by your starbase and at last by your SSD. How could you manage that?
