When Hank Logan caught a rare tropical disease, he was given an experimental cure that would stop his life-threatening convulsions. Yet the serum had an unforeseen side effect - Hank became a green furry beast with the ability to transform into "the same unreal creatures that haunted your fever dreams."
Beastling was approached by Niles Cable to join the X-Patrol and Hank accepted.
Note that "Hank Logan" combines Beast's name of Hank McCoy and Changeling's name of Garfield Logan, and is not a reference to Wolverine. The forms Beastling takes are various creatures from the DC Universe and the Marvel Universe, most notably the Marvel Universe's Sasquatch.

A time-traveler from a bleak apocalyptic future, the cybernetic mutant Niles Cable plans on manipulating key events in the present to prevent his dark future from becoming a reality.
Knowing that he would need help in his crusade, Cable recruited a team of mutant outcasts to aid him, and dubbed them the X-Patrol. With his future knowledge, he knows that X-Patrol will become heroes of legend, but also knows that they are fated to die.
Cable was crippled in the X-Patrol`s battle with Doctor Doomsday, and was consigned to a high-tech hover chair. However, during the X-Patrol's encounter with Brother Brood, Cable was visited by the spirit of Raveniya the Healer and was restored the use of his legs.
When Firebird succumbed to Mr. Mastermind's mental tricks, her Dark Firebird persona was unleashed during the Dark Firebird Contract. Creating master-molds to pose as Firebird's family, Mr. Mastermind convinced her that she was a member of the Hellfire League of Injustice. Although Niles Cable arrived from his future and did everything possible to prove he was her son, Mr. Mastermind turned the situation to his advantage.
Possibly romantically involved with Elasti-Girl. Acquaintance of Bruce Wayne's, apparently knows a lot about Hydra.

Niles Cable's younger self from the future. Dayspring disguised himself as Jericho until X-Patrol's battle with Brother Blood and the Brood. After Niles Cable allowed the techno-organic virus to spread within his body in order to defeat Brother Blood, Niles Cable destroyed Dayspring's disguise yet still saved his older self's life.

While exploring a cave near her Appalachian home, teenager Paige Guthrie found a mysterious dial device that activated her mutant ability to shed her skin. The device also gave her the ability to transform into a new hero, with different powers, each time she changes the dial. This change lasts until she aligns all the dials to twelve o’clock, at which point her skin sheds to reveal the real Paige once again.
She first transformed into Wonder-Girl, whose name and powers she instinctively knew, as is the case with each new persona she assumes.
Dial H.U.S.K. was recruited into the X-Patrol by Elasti-Girl at the behest of Niles Cable. Though pleased to be on the team, Paige is younger than the others and sometimes regrets being the only member of “Generation X” in X-Patrol.

Looking for excitement, Janet was exposed to volcanic gases which activated her latent mutant ability to grow and shrink.
Janet spent some time at Project Cadmus learning the limits of her powers under the careful guidance - and flirtatious, good-natured rivalry - of Doctors Henry Pym and Ray Palmer. Janet earned the nickname “Domino” as a result of the good fortune at gambling.
She decided to join up with the mysterious mutant named Niles Cable and use her financial resources to help make his dream of peaceful coexistence between men and mutants a reality, helping him recruit the founding members of the X-Patrol team.

Piotyr and his twin Alexi were all each other had, since even their mother couldn't bear to look on their faces. The twins showed everything from the moment they were born. Yet while saving Alexi's life from an oncoming truck, he changed into living metal, stopping it. He was a mutant, but alexi was not. Alexi's growing resentment drove him away and left Piotry alone.
Theorized as being responsible for an explosion that affected Dark Claw and Deathlok.
Ferro Man reluctantly joined X-Patrol at the behest of Niles Cable after being recruited by Elasti-Girl.
The grey, rock-skinned Jericho showed up one day on the arm of Elasti-Girl. At first he caused romantic tension between Elati-Girl and Niles Cable and was not completely trusted his fellow X-Patrol team mates. During the battle with Brother Blood and the Brood, however, Jericho's true form was revealed as Niles Dayspring, a younger version of Niles Cable. EXP

Heir to the sub-atomic throne of Tamojoran. She wasn't content to be a puppet-ruler, but added her sword and her fire to the rebel cause, only to be betrayed by these same troops. She was saved and brought to the full-sized world by Spider-Boy. She longs to return home, but fears he has no home to return to.
She joined X-Patrol at the request of Niles Cable after being recruited by Elasti-Girl.
Possibly influenced by the DC Universe's Princess Laethwen (Atom II's late lover) who was scantily-clad, sword-wielding, bright yellow, and six inches tall.
Has power to join with the earth by transforming into rocks and dust. Traitor to X-Patrol, delivering her teammates into the hands of X-Stroke the Eliminator, an event that almost wiped out the entire X-Patrol. Became infected by the Brood, apparently killed.
