Rainy Season Menu

In Indonesia we only have two seasons: summer and rainy season. Each lasts for approximately 6 months. Rainy season usually starts on October and ends on April, but it can vary each year. During rainy days we get less sunshine, much dark clouds with thunder and lightning. The temperature will slightly drop and it becomes colder, but in Jakarta it never goes down below 20 Celcius. In some higher places, like in cities on mountains, it can go down until 15 C.

Everything is wet and muddy in rainy season. We must drive more carefully because the roads are more slippery and because it wets all the time, they get lots of holes too ! During seasonal change, there will be many illness. The most common one is cold or flu, but sometimes we get something worse, like dengue fever. Yuckie ! But as long as we keep our homes clean and dry, we won't get into serious problem.
