naughty north! is a fluid group of radical queers that have been meeting
off an on for about two years. they now have a functioning list serve
and a printed newsletter!

critical mass: the Lewiston/auburn critical mass bike ride meets the last
friday of every month at the gazebo in kennedy park at 5:30pm. After
critical mass there is a pot luck at the bang(a)rang collective house every month!

farmer's market: the farmer's market in lewiston runs from June 11th
through September every tuesday from 3pm-6pm. the farmer's market accepts
ebt cards and WIC stamps!!! the farmers market is located in kennedy park
near the corner of pine and bates street.

jed collective: this is a homestead collective just outside the city that
we are good friends with and with whom we often collaborate/share. There
are also potlucks at their place every month.

lots to garden: is a grassroots urban gardening program that does
everything from nutrition classes to creating and maintaining community
gardens all over the city. They meet at the blake street garden every
Wednesday from 4-5 and the knox street garden from 5-6 for downtown

maine people's alliance: first wednesday of every month this grassroots
group meets at 278 lisbon street to plan campaigns and actions around issues
of environment, health care, and affordable housing. For more info, kate(at)mainepeoplesalliance.org

maine video activist network: MVAN newsreels are shown on great falls tv
(our local cable access station), channel ## at ???. MVAN is a
collaborative monthly video newsreel documenting politics, lectures,
grassroots movements, activism, and other important events in our beloved Pine Tree State. For more info,

open mic!: there are great open mic all over the place
They happen at local coffee shops and churches.
come early because it is always packed!!!

spoke folks: is an advocacy group for bicycles in l/a. they do
workshops, skill shares, trainings, and have an extensive tool library.
They meet irregularly but can be for more information, spokefolks(at)riseup.net.

visible community: this grassroots downtown neighborhood association has
been actively fighting gentrification and poorly planned development
projects in l/a. they meet every Tuesday at the b-street community center
