TOT Plans

Plans to make a static ghost TOT prop similar to the "crying kids" you see in Hallmark stores.

1. Cut your piece of wood as in the diagram (1 body piece and 2 feet pieces). Since the wood is only to give the prop a solid frame any scrap wood or even a piece of styrofoam will do.

2. Take a 5 1/2" styrofoam ball and cut it in half. Attach each half to one side of the head piece. Another way to attach the head is to cut the head off the body piece, duct tape a piece of dowel to the body piece sticking up about 3" where the head used to be, and impale the styrofoam ball on the dowel. Either way works equally well.

3. Attach the feet pieces to the body piece.

4. Put a pair of child's pants (anywhere from size 24M to 3T) on the frame and fill out with stuffing of some kind (rags, plastic bags, etc.)

5. Put a pair of child's shoes (anywhere from size 2-4) on the feet.

6. Drape a piece of white fabric over the frame until it hangs down to about the knees then you can tie a piece of string/twine around the neck to pull it in if you like.

7. Attach two 1" black felt circles on the face for eyes.

8. Accessorize with TOT bag or small plastic pumpkin. you can also add a baseball cap or a hair ribbon for a cute touch.
