Soul

The Soul is the
center of the living being of America.
Its central theme of liberation was derived from the minds and hearts of
men and women like Abraham Lincoln who ventured into the avenues of
consciousness that laid the foundation of American society.
“Four score and seven
years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent, a new nation, conceived
by Liberty and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal….It
is rather for us to be here dedicated to the great task remaining before us –
that from these honored dead we take increased devotion – that we here highly
resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain – this nation, under God,
shall have a new birth of freedom – and the government of the people, by the
people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.” – Excerpt from “The Gettysburg Address”
The United States
was built under the idea of equality and freedom. This fundamental notion of a truly just
nation has attracted immigration from oppression and hardship to American
shores. Lincoln
left America
with an ideal of its purpose being the everlasting safe heaven of a government
controlled by the common and ruled for the common. The bible of America
or the code of conduct in America
is the constitution. Gifted men like Lincoln
are the prophets of the future. America’s
original meaning or intended meaning was derived from the revisable
constitution and from eloquent speeches of its leaders.
This speech was given during the Civil War to bring hope and
unity to the northern states. The south
had succeded and Lincoln noted that
in order for the Union (United
States – Northern states) to survive, there
needed unity and cooperation of all people in the war effort.
America
was built on these principles of morality for men. Future generations used the declarations and
speeches of America’s
early pioneers. The soul created an
ideal democratic state where battles for social equality between rich and poor,
race, and gender inequalities exist.
This is the foundation of the developing political, economic and social
body that makes up what America
is in soul and where it should be heading toward.
Next stop, the thriving spirit!
