NINTENDO:
FINAL FANSTASY I

Reviewed by Hojo.

The world is veiled in darkness. The wind stops, the sea is wild,
and the earth begins to rot. The people wait, their only hope,
a prophecy..

"When the world is in darkness Four Warriors will come...."

These are the basic story lines for Final Fantasy I, the game that started a long line of Final Fantasy games that are still being made today.

Final Fantasy was actually a last hope for the makers of the game (Squaresoft). They were on the verge of going bankrupt and barely managed to pay for the costs of it. Luckily, it was a success and now they are among now the richest game designers in the world. In the game, you choose four characters and give them all a four-letter name. You basically run round cities and get into battles on the world map. It is a very challenging game, and is arguably the toughest game in the series.

Overall, Final Fantasy I is a basic yet interesting game and is one to remember.

Overall Score: 7/10
