GAMEBOY:
POKEMON RED
&
POKEMON BLUE

Reviewed by Hojo.

Pokemon. One word, that means so much, to so many people. Mention it to a bunch of 8-year-old nerds, and they’ll go crazy. Mention it to a bunch of Japanese school kids, and they’ll do the same thing, except you won’t be able to understand what they’re saying. Mention it to the rest of the world, and expect a frown.

Pokemon Red and Blue were the two games that started the whole thing. They were released for Gameboy a few years ago. Since then, the craze has evolved into more games, a TV program, even more games, merchandise, and yes, more games.

Here is a quick rundown on these venomous things..

In both games, you begin as Ash, a young Pokemon trainer. You talk to a professor called Oak, and then you’re on your merry way. The aim of the game is to become a Pokemon master, and collect all 150 Pokemon. You do this, by battling wild Pokemon, and defeating ‘Gym Leaders’.

Overall Score: 3/10
