Everything about the PS2

What's in the box:

You'll want to know what your £299.99p* will be getting you then.
Well on opening the PlayStation2's dark blue box, you'll see a load of polystyrene with your shiney new PS2 console and "new" Dual Shock 2 pad stuck in there, along with:

AV LEAD:

UK PS2s have the SCART lead included, which means if you own one of those ancient televisions, that doesn't have aSCART port, you'll need to fork out a further £15 on an RF lead. May seem unfair, but SCART will produce a much better picture as well.
(TIP: Buy a new TV for the full power of the PS2)

POWERLEAD:

You'll have some difficulty starting up your PS2 without on of these powerleads. And yes, you even get a plug attached at the other end of the cable!

INSTRUCTION MANUAL:

This will probably be the last thing to be taken out of the box, if at all. Hey, you've just get a PS2, and you're hungry for it's 128-bit power, right? You can expect the normal "idiot guide" in there with stuff like "This is the power button." and "If the PS2 does not seem to be working...plug in powercable."

WARRANTY CARD:

If you took the time to fill in your PSone's Warranty Card, you'll know how much Sony love sending you the latest demo CDs and promos. Best to fill this in as soon as possible.

DEMO DISK:

The UK PS2 gets a "proper" demo disk, unlike Japan and America. On the UK's demo CD you get a tasty load of PLAYABLE games! So hah, we may get it last in the UK, but we get a better deal then you!

And there you go. Hopefully that should be all you need to know
about what comes in the PS2's box.

Note: All Prices are in UK £ and may differ from the price shown.
