About The Halftime Show
We do improv...
We do sketch...
We do comedy.
On this cold night in February as the D*O*R*K comedy troupe brainstormed for new names, it began to seem that the troupe would always be just a group of dorks. Names were thrown out, but none we’re actually considered. Just before giving up and telling everyone to go home and think of names and ideas, there was a silence. In the midst of this silence, the loud (as always), but not so confident voice of Stephen Fecteau blurted out, "Halftime." Again there was silence and quick glances around the room. Ideas were flowing like wine and the jokes were sprouting up like prairie dogs in the southwestern region of Yellowstone in the month of August. Everyone was joining in the fun, coming up with ideas for skits and characters. Of course Andrew Girard was not paying attention, found himself lost and had to ask, "Could somebody run down this whole ‘halftime’ idea thing for me again." After a painful beating and some explanation, the idea was set and everyone seemed satisfied and almost a wee bit tingly inside.
From that day on the name changing fools of this comedy troupe were to be known as The Halftime Show, and the rest is history...
