The Green Dress through the Generations

	My mom, Judy, wearing the dress when she is about one year old.

	And here are various shots of my daughter Emily wearing the same green dress (59 years old by then). Compared to her mother at two years old, she's pretty tall for 16 months!

Here is the history on the green dress:
Seems that a friend of my grandmother's, Helen Haugen, made the dress about 1940 for her daughter. She had her daughter's picture taken in this dress and then gave the dress, a pretty little green knit with a row of white along the neck line, to my grandmother, Ruth Kochen. Grandma had my mother's picture taken in it about 1943 and then had Aunt Mary's picture taken about 1947 or so. Since then, Aunt Mary and my mom have had their daughters pictures taken wearing the same green dress. This year, Jeanne had Emily's picture taken in it as well.
