NB: Licences to run local radio stations were never awarded by the Radio Authority for the following areas: Kircaldy and Glenrothes, Dunfermeline, & Southwold.  This was either due to a lack of interest or because the RA felt that none of the applicants for the individual licences would have offered a service of the appropriate quality.
