The story is based in Japan on the treacherous mountain of Akina. A young man finds his destiny on the maniacally twisted mountain roads. The perfect union between man and machine is made. On the winding downhill road, in rain, snow, sleet, the young man utilizes his car just like an extention of his own body.

Forced to drive since he was 11, Takumi a high school student obliterates his competition with his uncanny skills to manipulate his car. Takumi's innate ability to race came from his father a retired racer (now a tofu shop owner). His father, once renown for his ferocity for driving, teaches Takumi to drive in a very unorthadox fashion... driving with a full cup of water.

This anime has opened my eyes to the possibities of the human potential. By example, this teenager was able to drive an old car like it was a rally car. Which begs the question, as human beings, how come we do not put our full potential into every task we have? If we did, we can achieve anything we can set our minds to. Anything is possible.
