DESERT ROSE

As I wander endlessly, I look straight ahead
What colour are you I ask... yellow or red?
Your petals are soft as the down of a goose
I want to touch you, so you will finally let loose
The fragrance you release is gentle and sweet
I would take you in my hands and sweep you off your feet
How is that possible?  For I am just a flower from a seed
