Had a few personal issues to deal with but I'm back on track and submitting the cartoon to festival's. The big news is that it will have it's debut screening in the UK at the Bradford Animation Festival on the 18th of November.
18th August The animation is complete. So I've added a few more images on the stills page. What remains now is the audio mix.
1st July I can see the light box at the end of the tunnel now. I've added a page of stills from completed shots as a bit of a preview but it looks like all the animation will be finished and rendered by the end of July.
15th Nov Added a sample of the 'wobble' effect that I want. Think; Bob Godfrey's Roobarb.
7th Oct Things are moving along. I don't think I need anymore animators. You can see the list on the Film page. You may have noticed a bit of colour added to a few things and a few new images. That's because I have locked off the colours with the help of Tara Caruso and Darren Bell's backgrounds are coming in..
15th June Test animation
of Artie in the bar moved to test animations
page, a couple of storyboard pages
and some model sheets added; the
fly and knife.
9th June Test
animation of Artie in the bar. There are two styles of animation
in this film and this is one of them. Updated pre-vis
with a rough cut of Geoffs voice and a bit of animation.
11th May Another pre-vis
with a rough cut of Geoffs voice and a test
animation of a student.
7th May Storyboards.
A very crude previsualtion of sequence 5 with characters desgined
by Neale Blanden. When Artie tells his story the visual style will
change to look a bit more like this.
24 April Sound recording completed
with the voice of Artie by Dodgey Brother Geoff Brooks. We did the
recording in an hour using the sound booth and facility's at Holmesglen
TAFE. Thanks to Sky and Kevin for their help and advice in setting
up. I'll be cutting a new animatic next week.
