Ladies and gentlemen, lend me your ears....  Of course, you KNOW you're going to end up DEAF after this one...

It's been a long time coming, but after hanging out at a Judas Priest concert in early Oct of 98, and running into John Adams and Jeff Vanden Berghe from Wurx, the band I travelled with the most, I decided that the tale of the Wurx '87-88 American Tour should be told. Now, since i'm the one who kept a little journal of the entire thing ( it was suggested by a friend when I first got in the music business as something i'd look back on and smile at when I got older...LOL), I guess that I'm the one who gets to tell the story.....

Why a 10 year delay?

I'VE BEEN BUSY, OK?

heh

The Basics

Wurx was a 4 piece heavy metal band based in Houston, Texas, consisting of Jeff Vanden Berghe on vocals, John Adams on guitar, Lance Nix on drums, and Dave MacLemurray on bass, who wouln't be around long...... They formed in 1980 or so, and I met them in late '85. At that time, they just hung out and played on my stage at Cardi's occasionally, but they wanted more... So, Lance  and his mommy Barbera got a loan, bought a bunch of equipment, and in June of '87, with a new bass player, James Bryant, we hit the road...

These are the tales of those days. I swear it's all true...

The Format

Wurx played at one town for (usually) 6 nights, then we moved on to the next.

So...each town's tale shall be told on a separate page.

Easy enough, eh?
