His new album, Musipal, now about a month old, Luke Vibert, a.k.a. Wagon Christ, is set to tour North America. Though The New Scene has never seen his dj set, Wagon Christ's diverse dance tastes should make for a fun, non-stop party show.
Vibert has truly explored all corners of the dance music map, and his interesting new album demonstrates everything he has learned throughout his nearly decade-long career as a professional dj. The trip-hop of Musipal relies heavyily on computers but still retains a fresh vibe not found in conventional electronic music.
North American fans will get a chance to see what Vibert's record collection holds. It should be an interesting mix, as the dj has recorded everything from trance-like tunes to experimental trip-hop to an album recorded with a steel guitarist.
If you get a chance to see him, expect to dance all night. If you live in North America or London, be sure to visit Ninjatune.net and click the Live link to find out when Luke Vibert is coming to your town. |
