Although Roots Manuva has only one album to his credit, he has made numerous guest appearances that have been the focal point of not only another artist's song, but often their entire album.  One such example is his work on Mr. Scruff's Jusjus, a big bottomed hip-hop tune amidst Scruff's goofy dancefloor trip-hop.  Roots Manuva's own album, Brand New Second Hand, is a dark, richly textured journey through Manuva's neo-beat poetry and abstract rhyme style.  While the production occasionally does Manuva's unique flavour a disservice with its sameness, the tracks which he produced himself, particularly Clockwork and Juggle Tings Proper, stand out as some of the best hip-hop tracks of 1999.
