Part 2
Chapter 6
Everyone went back up to thier hotel room. Once again they all had an adjoining room but it was much more luxiourious than any of the other hotels they had stayed at. At least since Dani had been with them. Also, since there was just 4 beds, they also had another room across the hall. Usually Dani and Justin shared a room. It never bothered them before, they were friends, there were two beds...no big deal. But that was going to all change now.
Everyone was sitting around in Lance and JC's half of the adjoining rooms. They were all wide awake. The guys were because of thier naps earlier and Dani was because the voices in her head wouldnt let up! She got up and walked outside on the balcony. She needed to be alone...To clear her mind and think. Justin hadnt said a word to her since the casino.
'What is his problem?? She thought to herself. 'Why is he completly avoiding me now?'She thought that when they kissed, everything would be straightened out. But now it was more confusing than ever!
"Hey sweetie."
"Hey Lance." Dani said turning around and then resting her arms on the balcony.
"You looked like you needed some company."
'Umm well actually NO..'
"Yeah I guess so."
"Dani...I was wondering.."
"Yeah?"
"I was wondering if maybe you would like to go out to eat tomorrow before we go on down to the venue? I mean I know we dont hang out too much but I mean..we could get to know each other better and..maybe I could show you around since you havent been here?"
'Oh my Lord what is going on!'Dani thought to herself while staring at the pavement below them. LANCE is asking me OUT?!?! What is THIS? Is he the one James was talking about??? Ok calm down Dani, maybe he's just being friendly...But what if he isnt??'
"Dani?"
"Yes?"
"What do you say?"
"Umm..
'NO NO NO Dani you cant go!! Justin likes you!!' 'NO he doesnt! He's avoiding me'...'But he's scared'...'SCARED?? ha whatever...Im going with Lance!'..'no nononono...Who am I talking to???'
"Sure Lance I'd love to."
"Great!" He said smiling. "Well I think Im gonna turn on in..See ya in the morning sweetie."
"K..night.."
'Whats the deal with these guys calling me sweetie??' Dani layed her head down on the balcony railing.
"Maybe I could just jump..." she said quietly.
"Hey sweet..."
' oh lord!'
"..cheeks."
'Here we go!!'
"Hey Chris." Dani said raising her head up.
"Soooo..whatcha doin? Admiring the scenery? "
"Something like that."
"Is something bothering you Dan dan?"
"No..yes...No...Yes..I have no clue."
Chris started laughing at her. "Well if ya ever need Dr. Kirkpatrick..."
"Do I get a free consoltation?"
"Sure! But just the first time k? Then I'll have to start charging."
"Awww darn!"
"Hey! This boyband aint gonna stick around forver!"
"Noooo dont say that! Its not gonna end!" Dani said sarcastically while covering her ears.
"Youre cute puddin pop." Chris said pinching her cheek.
"Thanks. I think."
"Well goodnight!"
"Night Chris."
'Ok great who's coming out here next???' she turned and saw JC fixing to walk outside.
"Hey JC."
"Hey swee.."
"Beautiful night huh?" she said interrupting him. If one more person called her sweetie or anything with the word 'sweet' in it she was going to scream.
"Well guess Im gonna turn on in now..night!" she said walking past him in a hurry.
"Night Dani." JC said confused. "What did I say?" he said to himself.
The next morning around 8, everyone was lounging around the room. Lance was in the shower getting ready while the others where still half-asleep. Justin and Chris were sitting on the beds when Lance came out of the bathroom.
"Scoop?"
"Chris?"
"What the heck are you doing taking a shower already? We dont gotta leave until noon at least!"
"Oh I was gonna take Dani out to eat. Didnt I tell you guys?"
"You are WHAT?" Justin shouted.
"Im..going...to...take..Dan---i...out...to...eat." Lance said slowly in a monotone-type voice. Justin glared up at him and then stared at the floor.
"Is that a problem Justin?"
"No."
"Then what is it? You know we're allowed to talk to Dani too."
"I know!" Justin said mocking him.
"Can we say jealousy?" Chris said butting in.
"Can we say 'Shut it'? Im not jealous of albinos."
"Well Im not jealous of two year olds." Lance snapped back.
"Im three!" Justin said sticking his tounge out.
"How come youre suddenly showing interest in Dani Lansten? You never did before."
"Umm could it be because youve hogged her attention for the entire trip?"
"Hey I dont force her into hanging out with me, she has a choice."
"What on earth is so important that you two are fussing over it at this hour?" JC said coming into the room.
"Nothing." Justin and Lance said
"Theyre fussing over Dani." Chris said
"Hey all Im doing is taking her out to eat. Justin is the one thats going off for no reason."
"But!.but..." Justin started to speak but stopped he wasnt gonna tell the guys how he really felt about her. But he wasnt gonna let Lance have her either.
"Wait youre taking Dani out?" JC asked
"Yeah."
"Alone?"
"Umm..well yeah...why?"
"No reason.." JC said discouraged as he sat down in a chair.
"Oh no not you too." Chris said
"Not me what?"
"You like her too dont ya C?"
"Well I umm I wouldnt say that I mean shes a very nice girl...very nice looking and.."
"Sexy." Chris said finishing for him.
"Well yeah that too." JC said smiling.
"Hey hey hey wait HOLD UP!" Justin said standing up and waving his arms in the air.
"For one..YOU are like 10 years OLDER than her!" he said pointing at Chris. "And YOU..are..I..I dunno youre just you." Justin sat back down on the bed. 'What the heck is going on..does everybody like Dani?? Well..Joey hasnt said anythi...Ok Nevermind..ITS JOEY of course he likes her.'
"Hey..wait!" Chris said after thinking for a few minutes. "I am NOT ten years older than her! Im..ummmm...1.2.3...4..NINE! Nine years HA!"
"Whats youre point?" Justin said
"I dunno."
"Well youre a year younger than her!" Lance said
"Yeah!" Chris added in.
"But I like older women."
"So she may not like younger guys."
"Well I guess thats why I was her..."
"Her what? Finish the sentance Justin?" Lance said staring him down
"Nevermind. Im not getting into this."
"No Justin what is it?"
"Let it go Lance."
"No."
"Yes."
"No."
"Yes."
"No."
"Yes! Why is it so important?"
"Because I wanna know. Obviously its something or you wouldnt have stopped."
"Ok FINE..Her FAVORITE I was her Favorite ok ya happy now?"
"Key word being was.."
"Excuse me?"
"Hey didnt she say she liked me on MMC? So that would make me.."
"C...dont start with me man!"
"Ooook.." JC said sitting back in his chair.
"Dont give me that JC! You just like her for her looks."
"And you dont?"
Chris, Lance and JC eyed Justin as he sat there in silence pondering his thoughts.
"Justin?"
'Knock-knock'
"Hey you guys awake?" Dani said peeking in the room.
"Yeah Dani." Lance answered her. "Im almost ready ok?"
"Allright." she said walking into the room. Her hair was neatly pulled up into a ponytail and she had on a light blue adidas t-shirt with some light blue flare pants. She felt like an idiot when she looked at Justin and realized she was decked out in 'baby blue'
"Hey guys."
"Hi." they all mumbled.
"So where are you and Scoop headed?" Chris asked
"Oh I dunno, Probably just to grab a bite to eat or something." she said making eye contact with Justin. He held her stare for as long as he could then looked away.
"Ready to go?" Lance said smiling
"Yeah..See you guys later." she said looking directly at Justin once more and then turned to leave.
"Man she looked hot!" Chris said laying back on the bed as the door closed. Justin stared at him and then pushed him off of the bed into the floor.
"Ow...Uh, Hello? ok..what was that for?" Chris said holding his head
"Felt like it." Justin said nonchantlantly as he got up and went in the other room.
"Sooo..do you think he likes her?" JC said sarcastically
"Ya think?" Chris said rolling his eyes. "Man that sucks. I was wantin to get me some of that..."
"WHAT did you say?!?!" Justin said charging back into the room, hovering over Chris.
"I SAID..I was wantin...To get me...Some of THAT!" Chris said standing up face-to-face with Justin
"DON'T talk about her that way...understand?"
"Justin...chill out bro..he was joking around.." JC said getting up.
"Do you understand me Chris?" Justin said, ignoring JC.
"Kid, you may be taller than me, you may be more popular than me, but if you even THINK youre gonna tell ME what to do..."
"GUYS! Calm Down OK?" JC said getting worried.
"You are so sick...she is ten years younger than you."
"Nine!"
"Whatever. I dont need this." Justin said leaving the room.
"Justin where are you going?"
"He's going to pout JC." Justin walked out the door and slammed it behind him.
"He really needs an attitude adjustment."
"Chris..you know he likes her. Why did you keep on?"
"Because he's not tellin me what to do! and besides just because he likes her doesnt mean she feels the same way."
"But...she does feel the same way...Chris she told you that...remember?"
"Ok. fine. But then answer me this, why is she out on a 'date' with Lance?"
"I have no idea."
"Aha see? Shes not sure..So that means I still gotta chance."
"No you mean I still gotta chance."
"Umm..no JC, I meant me."
"Mornin guys." Joey said walking into the room.
"Hey." he said looking around. "Where is everybody?"
"Long story." Chris and JC said
Lance and Dani went to a little outdoor coffee shop and ate breakfast. They had pancakes and French toast (of course). Dani was amazed at how easy it was to talk to Lance. She loved it. There wasnt any pressure there like there was when she used to talk to Justin.
"Oh yeah they made fun of everything, My hair my clothes..just everything."
"Thats awful." Dani said laughing."Dont worry though my friends are the same way."
"What could they possibly make fun of you about?"
"Hmmm lets see. Im a klutz...My face turns blood red if Im just the tiniest bit embarressed, but you already know that." Lance nodded his head and smiled. "Hmmm..what else? Oh the fact that Im almost twenty and I like a boyband?"
"Hey now, Im 20 and Im IN a boyband."
"Yeah but thats diffrent."
"How so?"
"It just is."
"No it isnt."
"Yes it is."
"Nope."
"Yep."
"Nut uh."
"Uh huh..chill wit it albino boy!"
"Ok." Lance said laughing. "Well are you ready to go?"
"Yeah just..let me go use the restroom real quick."
"Ok, Ill pay and wait for you here allright."
"Ok." Dani said going to the restroom. As she came back she took a diffrent path and went around a small wall filled with plants that they had separating some of the tables outside. She was fixing to turn the corner to where Lance was standing when she stopped dead in her tracks.
"Justin?"
"Hey." Justin said sitting alone at a table, picking at a doughnut.
"W-w-what what are you doing here?..Did you follow us?"
"No..Why would I do that?" he said, refusing to look up at her.
"Umm..well I dont...know.." Dani said. Then she saw Lance walking over to her.
"Hey who are you...talking to..Justin. Hi."
"Hello Lansten. Enjoy your meal?"
"As a matter of fact I did."
"Thats nice." Dani stood there watching the two of them. There was so much tension in thier voices. She was afraid to say anything.
"Justin why did you come here?"
"What? Can't a guy go get a doughnut for crying out loud?"
"Yeah there's a Mcdonalds across the street."
"Well. I wanted to go here."
"So I guess its just a coiensidence that you came to the same place as me and Dani?"
"Sounds that way to me." Justin said shrugging his shoulders.
"Whatever." Lance said walking off. "We'll see you at the venue. As he placed his arm around Dani's back, Justin felt his heart begin to ache. How could Lance treat him like this? 'Because he doesnt know how you really feel about her...And neither does she.'
"I know." Justin said to himself as he got up and headed back to the hotel. There was no point in following them around anymore.
