Chapter 9
She was my once in a lifetime
Happy ending come true
Oh I guess I should have told her
But I thought she knew
She said I took her for granted

The next morning, everyone was getting ready to head out of Vegas, while Dani was packing up her things to go back home to Orlando. She didnt want to leave, she had such a great time with them but it was the only thing she could think of. She stood in her and Justin's hotel room and packed her clothes while Justin was in the shower.
' Ok Dani..youre doing the right thing...youre doing the right thing..Things are only gonna get worse if you stay, and the guys have a job to do. They dont need any extra problems. This is the right thing to do....Then why am I fixing to cry??' Dani quickly wiped away her tears when she heard Justin coming out of the bathroom. She looked over at him and noticed that his eyes were red and a little swollen. 'Has he been crying? Of course not, why would he? He doesnt care..He's a guy, what does he care..'
"Dani?" he said walking over to her. "Look I know you probably hate me.."
"Hate you? No Justin I dont hate..."
"But...Here I want you to have this." He said taking off his baby blue W.W.J.D.? braclet. "Just to, you know remember the good times we had, at least?"
Dani smiled and nodded her head as he placed the braclet on her wrist. "Thank you." she said hugging him, the she turned back to packing her clothes before she changed her mind. Justin went across the hall to the adjoining room where the others were at.
"Hey man." Chris said as Justin walked in the door.
"Hey."
"She still leaving?"
"Yeah."
"Im sorry bro."
"Its ok...I mean its not like we're gonna lose contact with her, and she IS in Orlando."
"Thats the spirit! Look on the bright side."
"Yeah but still...Im gonna miss her."
"We all are. She practically became the 6th member."
"Yeah and now I dont have a prank buddy." Justin said laughing.
"You got me!"
"Yeah but..no offense Chris but she's just a tad bit cuter than you."
"Just a tad? wow thanks Justin!"
"I just..I dont want her to go..I never got to tell her how I really felt."
"Well, go tell her now."
"I cant just GO tell her now!"
"Why not? She might stay if ya did."
"But Chris I cant! I cant just go over there and tell her."
"And the reason being...."
"And the reason being I CANT!"
"Because youre scared."
"Scared?"
"Uh huh...youre scared because youre in love with her and you dont know what to do, so your gonna run from it."
"But im not the one leaving."
"Yeah but youre letting her get away." Chris said getting up and going into the other room.
Dani finished packing and started over to the other room to tell the guys she was ready. 'Am I sure? Am I SURE that I want to do this?? Once I get on that plane theres no turning back' she sighed and turned the knob.
"Guys?" she said walking into the room. "Im ready to go."
They took a limo to the airport. The whole ride there was practically in silence. None of them wanted her to go. She had become a great friend to all of them. And they all knew that Justin was going to be heartbroken. Chris especially. He wanted to just take Dani aside and tell her how Justin felt but He knew that it wouldnt be right. They arrived at the airport with just a few minutes to say thier goodbyes.
"Well.." Lance said going first. "Its been fun."
"Yeah."
"You take care and Ill call you up when we come back to Florida, maybe we can go get some pancakes again?"
"That sounds great." Dani said giving him a hug. "Take care Poofoo.."
"Hey watch it!"
"Im sorry." she said laughing as Lance kissed her on the cheek and walked off.
"You be good Danigirl."
"You too Joey." she said as he hugged her.
"Hey Im always good."
"Oh yeah what was I thinking?"
Joey smiled down at her. "I'll miss ya..even if you did dye my hair green."
"It wasnt me!"
"Suuuure..."
"Joey it wasnt!"
"I know Im just kidding..Bye sweetie."
"Bye."
"Well...sorry it had to end so quickly." JC said coming up to her.
"Yeah me too. But its for the best..dont you think?"
"Yeah." he said quietly. "Just give him some time ok? He'll come around I promise you."
Dani nodded her head and hugged JC. She hoped he was right.
"Now who am I gonna call puddin pop?" Chris said hugging her.
"You better not call anyone else that but me ya hear doofus?"
"Yes ma'am." he said laughing. "Well..You better not forget me."
"How could I?"
"I dont know...But you better not k?"
"Ok"
"Promise?"
"I promise."
"Cross your heart?"
"Cross my heart."
"Ok." he said kissing her on the forehead. "Later puddin pop"
"Bye."
The others started to go ahead and leave when Justin walked up to her. He stood there not really knowing what to say. He finally gave her a hug that seemed to last forever. Dani started to cry while he was still holding her. 'I cant leave...I cant leave..I CANT LEAVE! But its for the best. HOW?? He needs time to think..You both do!
"I dont want to leave." she whispered as Justin pulled away and stared at her.
"You dont?"
"B-but..But I have to..."
"No you dont." He said holding her hands in his. "Dani please stay. You dont have to go." He pleaded as she wiped her tears away.
[ Attention: Flight 403 to Orlando is now boarding...]
"Dani..you dont have to.."
"Justin it wouldnt work."
"Why wouldnt it?"
"Not right now. Not like this. Please? I need to go."
Justin couldnt understand why she was leaving if she didnt want to. He wanted her to stay but he knew he couldnt make her. The announcer then called for her flight again.
"I have to go..Im sorry."
Justin cupped her face in his hands and pulled her closer to him. He stared deep into her eyes. He wanted so badly to just tell her how he felt but he couldnt. He leaned in closer and gently kissed her lips. This time it really meant something. They both knew it. But neither one said anything. Instead Dani grabbed her things and headed for the plane without looking back.
