Chaguaramas Bay, where yachts must go to check into the country, is an excellent harbor, surrounded by high wooded hills, so it is nicely protected. There are several haul-out facilities and also numerous repair shops. If a yacht is in the Caribbean, Trinidad is the place to go for repairs and maintenance.
