My experiences as an extra in New York Minute

From September 10th to 12th, I was fortunate enough to be in a big concert scene with Simple Plan for New York Minute. This section - in conjunction with www.trenchcoatwins.com - will tell you all about it!

Since people have been asking, I figured I'd tell you how I got to be an extra in New York Minute. Basically, I'm a "former child actor" (for lack of a better term) so I already had an idea of where to get production info, especially for Canada (which is where I live). So when I found out that the girls were going to be filming in Toronto, I tracked down the number for the production office there. I gave them a call and asked for the name and address of the extras casting director, which they happily gave to me. I sent my picture with a letter to her, and then called a week later to make sure she'd recieved it. She had, and she also said she would definitely be able to use me, as most scenes in the movie will require extras! I was completely thrilled. I called her again to confirm, and then booked my flight. Things didn't go *exactly* as planned - I ended up having to make two trips - but it was SO much fun and definitely worth it!
