Chapter One

I, am a freak.

You don't have to deny it. I've learned to accept it and so should you. I just am. It's not really a bad thing....

Seriously. Stop telling me I'm not, cause I am. Man, some people have some major acceptance issues.

Anyhoo, as I was saying, I'm a freak. I think it started at babyhood, maybe I just got the freak gene or something, but for as long as I can remember, I've been like this.

My little sister on the other hand is completely normal.

That scares me.

Well, not so much normal as just perfect. She's the only nine year old that I've ever met who does ANYTHING her parents ask her to. I mean, she cleans her room, does the dishes, cleans my room (when I can pay her enough), and I just don't think that its something that a real kid would do. I feel like I'm in the Stepford Children or something half the time.

She was the reason I met Isaac again though. That should count for something, shouldn't it?...... Nah!

So one day Kylie (my little sister) asks me to take her to the park. Well, actually she wanted to stay home and help my mom bake bread, but I thought she might need some fresh air (not to mention I wanted to guy-scope) so I decided she was going to the park, whether she liked it or not.

She didn't. Like it I mean. Kylie prefers adults to kids her own age. That's about the only not normal thing about her. Or maybe it is normal and the fact that I thought that just makes me more of a freak.

Very possible.

That day she made a friend.

His name was Mackenzie, aka Mackie. I knew right away who he was. He looked just like his brothers.

Not to mention one of them was standing right behind him when Kylie introduced me to her "new friend".

I'd bought her some candy on the way there (she really needs more sugar in her system) which she was offering to both Mackie and his blond haired brother.

"Kylie, lets go."

"Why?"she whined. I was the only person on the planet who she ever whined at, which usually didn't bother me but at that particular moment, I wanted to kill her.

"Now."I said firmly. She finally reverted back to her perfect little self and followed me obediently as I led her to the car.

When we reached it, I grabbed her arm and made her look at me."Don't give candy to strangers."It may have sounded stupid but I was officially making a new rule to be followed.

"I thought you just weren't supposed to TAKE candy from strangers."

"That too. Get in the car."

I was furious by the time I got home. Kylie knew how I felt about them. And she just had to befriend one of them. I was so mad at her by that point that I stomped the whole way upstairs.

And found another one in my room.
