Chapter Two

I never like MmmBop. I always though of it as some sort of foreign governments idea of a slow torturous death.

Hanson was not my favorite band.

Anyway, that's not really important. What's important is that I had just come home to find one of those blond mmmbop boys standing in the middle of my room looking extremely guilty.

I shudder to think what he'd been looking at.

"Taylor?"I asked. I had no clue which one of them was in front of me. I knew it wasn't Isaac. We'd met before. I'll explain that one later. All I knew was that one of them was named Taylor, so I gave it my best guess.

"Zac."The blond in front of me looked a little annoyed. I guessed he'd been mistaken for Taylor more than once.

Just then I noticed a very lacy and sheer red bra laying on the floor just inches from my feet.

I had a bad feeling he'd already spotted it.

I needed to pay Kylie to clean my room again soon.

I tried to casually kick it under my bed, while attempting to make conversation."So,"I started, then deciding i had no interest in talking to him added,"I'll be right back."

I was now going to kill my mother or who else had let him into my bedroom without removing all visible underwear first.

"Hey Leigha,"and all too familiar voice said.

I hadn't even made it downstairs yet.

I turned to face Isaac Hanson, standing directly in front of me.

Fear was the first emotion that went through my body."Um, hey Ike."

I bolted down the stairs. I really didn't like what was going on. As I hit the bottom step the front door opened and I came face to face with who I could only assume was Taylor since he was the only one I hadn't identified yet.

They needed name tags.

And I needed a prozac.

I ran into the kitchen."Mom, why are they here?"

"You mean my sons?"Oh great, not only were they here but so was the whole clan. The Mom and the three sisters were sitting at my kitchen table having tea.

They'd invaded my entire life.

I had a bad feeling they weren't going to leave anytime soon. I was getting a lot of bad feelings that day.

I was right about most of them.

"They're what?"My mother had not just told me that. I was imagining things. She wouldn't do that to me. She likes me. I mean, I'm not as perfect as Kylie, but parents are supposed to love their kids no matter what, right?

Dad never would have done that to me.

I threw the sheets onto one of the twin beds."Here,"I said in a huff. I think huff is a kind of strange word, but it was the only way I could describe the mood I was in. I needed to appear angry.

Taylor and Zac seemed to get the hint. They each took a set of sheets and started making up the twin beds.

"Leigha,"Isaac called, running after me as I tried to escape up the stairs. He never was one to take a hint.

"Go away."

"Leigha,"he said again, grabbing my arm."We have to talk sometime."

"Says who?"Surprisingly that was the snappiest retort I could come up with. I pulled my arm out of his grasp."And don't touch me."

I continued up the stairs to our apartment.

"Eventually you'll have to face this,"he called up after me.

I paused."Yeah, you're right."I glanced back down at Isaac who was standing on the landing in the middle of the staircase."I say we discuss it about, how about ten or fifteen minutes after hell freezes over."

I think he got the point.
