An Idiot's Guide to Saddam Hussein
Article 5: November 1, 2006
It's been pretty well established (and then pretty well covered-up) that the American government is the most systematically evil government on earth. It acts only to serve its own selfish agenda, and when a by-product of that selfish agenda might mean something positive (like the overthrowing of a dictatorship) they pretend this was the sole reason for their dastardly deed. Sneaky bastards.
Let's take a recent example. America has had a hard-on for Saddam ever since he invaded Kuwait and threatened its oil reserves. Up until that point, America had been meeting Saddam for regular sex sessions in public toilets. Metaphorically speaking. Check out this video featuring Rumsfeld shaking the bload-soaked hands of the "Butcher of Baghdad":
How could this be so! How could Rumsfeld, who was so recently chastising Saddam for an assortment of crimes against humanity, have once been the best of buds with such a horrible person at a time when Saddam was just as guilty of an assortment of crimes against humanity? It's because Saddam was a pretty useful guy then. He served a purpose. A leader of an oil-rich nation who played ball with America and who had replaced a Communist leadership. Plus he was at war with Iran, an American enemy! Sure, he may have been an evil psycopathic dictator, but fuck it! It's not like the media will ever ask any questions.
But you see, Saddam fucked up. He fell from grace when he invaded Kuwait. America panicked because that threatened world petroleum reserves. Kuwait, you see, is a major customer of America. That's exactly when the Saddam-Is-Like-Such-A-Total-Asshole propoganda began, and it pretty much hasn't stopped. The irony obvious to any conscious human being is that Saddam was always an asshole even when Rumsfeld was shaking the fucker's hand.
During the first Gulf War, America was successful in driving Saddam out of Kuwait, but they chose not to remove him from power because George HW Bush objected. He said this:
"There was no viable exit strategy we could see. Had we gone the invasion route, the United States could conceivably still be an occupying power in a bitterly hostile land."
Forward a few years later and George HW Bush's son is in office; a simpleton who bowed to the pressure of the nutbags behind the Project for the New American Century (PNAC). These fuck-sticks wanted Saddam gone by any means neccessary. Its 2000 Rebuilding America's Defences report says this:
"While the unresolved conflict in Iraq provides the immediate justification [for US military presence], the need for a substantial American force presence in the Gulf transcends the issue of the regime of Saddam Hussein."
Translation: we want into Iraq. We'll use any ruse available. But wait! What will that ruse be? Here's more from that same report:
"Further, the process of transformation, even if it brings revolutionary change, is likely to be a long one, absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event — like a new Pearl Harbor."
September 11th was that "new Pearl Harbour". The greatest ruse of all.
That smear campain in the run-up to war involved slandering Saddam's alleged WMD capability. A WMD capability the United States helped create when Saddam was an ally. Here comes the truth: Saddam had destroyed most, if not all of his WMD capability. You know why this is true? Here's why: if America believed its own hype about Iraq's WMD capability, they wouldn't have attacked, and the UN weapons inspectors were withdrawn pre-war by America and Britain because war was too fucking urgent. If they hadn't have been withdrawn, they would have came back with their findings; that Iraq had no WMD and thus America had no grounds for an attack. America was shit-scared of being denied this ruse for war, and so withdrew them.
Damn, I'm tired of being right.
Oh yeah, and there's also the following video. It highlights the administration's true feeling about Iraq before they were able to use September 11th as an excuse to bullshit their way to war.
As of writing this, Iraq is in a dire fucking state. Terrorism has increased in Iraq since the invasion, some think-tanks put the death count at 150 000, the cost is around $300 billion, and the quagmire doesn't look likely to end at any point in the near future considering we have to "stay the course". But hey - at least Saddam (aka The Scapegoat) has been captured and is now sitting in the dock! Unfortunately, the accomplices to some of his crimes won't be tried alongside him. Funny that.
