These are pictures of the foundation after the forms have been taken off and the pilasters blocked and filled with concrete. |

The foundation is poured concrete (3500 psi) with vertical and horizontal steel reinforcing rods (rebar) inside. The pilasters along the outside wall are concrete block filled with concrete and rebar. A standard concrete block foundation cannot support the weight of a timberframe, due to the concentrated loads. |
