The Frame Raising

The Frame Raising began on Friday, October 13 and ended on Thursday, October 19. In all, the entire process actually took about 4 days.

The frame raising crew consisted of the talented guys from Atlantic Timberframes (Ron, Ritch, and Joe), crane operator Mike from Adler Crane Service, and our own "fearless ground crew" (as jokingly named by the Atlantic guys) of Brian, Glen Patten, Bob Ratay (the dad), John Roles, Bob Ratay (the brother), Jeff Patten, and Freeman Johns.

Let's just say that a timberframe raising is not for the faint of heart or heights! All in all it was a fantastic experience. We were always amazed at the precision joinery and how the entire frame came together.
