THE PRACTICE - "Final Judgement" - Ellenor continues her desperate attempt to stop the execution of a mentally ill woman (Alfre Woodard) on death row, and the firm is torn over a controversial settlement in their case against an alcohol company

From TV Guide

Difficult criminal and civil rulings are rendered in the conclusion of a taut two-part episode.  In a death row case, Ellenor (Camryn Manheim) struggles to void the execution of Denise Freeman (Alfre Woodard), a mentally ill killer. Telling strategy comes from the firm's newest associate, Jamie Stringer (Jessica Capshaw). “Instead of arguing the death penalty is per se unconstitutional,” she advises Ellenor, “you could argue it's cruel and unusual as applied to Denise Freeman. It's our only shot.” In another action, wrangles ensue over a beer company's liability in the death of a college student.
