Season Six (2001-02)

6. 21 "This Pud's For You"

From TV Guide

The sixth season concludes with back-to-back episodes concerning Lindsay's fatal shooting of cannibal Lawrence O'Malley. In the first episode, Eugene takes charge at the scene, ordering Lindsay and Bobby to avoid talking with police. But the legal team's ensuing debate on how to proceed leads to questions about Lindsay's arguably tenuous state of mind, as well as the moments prior to the shooting, which Lindsay says she can't recall. As Ellenor heads their controversial defense in the second episode, prosecutor Walsh (Bill Smitrovich) points out their avoidance of the police and tries to paint Bobby as a witness with something to hide. Larry King has a cameo.
