Jimmy's gambling leads him into debt, and a new client - his sports bookie, Sid Herman (Jeffrey Tambor) - who's being sued by his wife for financial fraud. Meanwhile, A.D.A. Alan Lowe (Ron Livingston) misleads Lindsay into accepting a plea bargain for her client, a 19-year-old charged with attempted murder, despite her belief that he's been falsely accused.

Lindsay represents a young man accused of murder. A.D.A. Alan Lowe tricks her into accepting a plea bargain for her client after the eyewitness dies. Lindsay accepts the deal, not realizing that the evidence against her client is gone. Meanwhile, Jimmy represents a bookie in a hostile divorce situation, as a way of paying back his debt.
