During the summer of 2000, I have driven the car quite a lot. My G-tech tests show about 150 bhp at the wheels, and 1/4-mile times of about 16.3 seconds. The acceleration from 0-100 km/h is measured at around 8.13 seconds. Thus, the performance is in Capri 2.8i regions, but I still want more.

Despite building the new engine with lower CR, I still get detonation occasionally, and I can't help thinking that the K-jetronic plays a part. Therefore I will try to convert to electronic injection for the year 2001. At the moment (October 2000) a Saab 9000 system looks most cost effective, even though I'd really want fully programmable injection. If someone has something for sale, please e-mail me.

I have also investigated the Sierra EEC-IV system a bit more, since U have an ECU laying around. It looks lite it could be used after all, so I think I will try that first. The map should be pretty good for the off-boost load points, at least.

The brakes could also use some attention - I will probably try the BMW 3-series discs, with the Volvo callipers. There are also a great number of other things to consider - bumpers, fixing the interior, and a LSD for example. Only time will tell
