My Great Grandfather was Patrick O'Neill born in Ireland, immigrated to New York/New Jersey, along with 9 or 10 brothers. My Grandmother stated to me that she was a first cousin of Tip O'Neill, former Speaker of the House. Any idea if your O'Neills are part of the same?

Dear Michael: I read your site last year and wrote comments, no wonder you did not reply. My grandfather, Frank Blumetti, emigrated from San Poalo, Albanese. He settled eventually in Youngstown, Ohio, where he married Mary DeChime and subsequently had f ur sons; Albert, Joseph,Paul, my father, Vincent and Frank. They are all deceased. We are the only Blumetti family in Youngstown. As my father's health failed and he could no longer relate information, I began a search for Blumetti ties. I have met both Sue Hawkins and Cathy Campbell on the net. We have yet to establish ties. I do know that my great grandfather's name was Aniblo and his mother's name was Rose. However, this will be difficult to trace as my grandfather was illegitimate and may have ent red the US as a stowaway. I beleive he may have stayed temperarily in New York City as my aunt, Blanche Bertelli Blumetti, recalls writing at his request to relatives in Elizabeth< NJ in the 1950's. I'm sure that these people would be deceased as well. I do have my grandfather's naturalization document and SS card. The number doesn't match the SSDI files. At any rate, is there a way to access ancient records from San Paolo, Albanese or is it that one must have family information that has survived the decades? Any comments? Sincerely, Jeanette Blumetti Lynn

Hi Michael. I am Cassio from Brazil. I am looking for a part of my family that migrate from San Costantino Albanese (Italia) to USA. Our Surname is Leone. Two aunts went to USA in the first years of 1900. My grandmother, her parents and brothers came to B azil. I have already been in San Costantino. The people is great, the city is very interesting. I also found out (100 years later) some cousins there. Have you already heard about Leone from San Costantino in your community (neighborhood)? regards, Cassio Turra

Michael, I have a feeling you may have a new email address-I am re-sending this to you. If you already received thru another email address, please disregard. If you are still interested in the Blumettis please let me know. If you have trouble with the Hotmail a dress, we have a family address at hawkins671@msn.com. I am finally back to my Blumetti research. We had quite a corresponce going on before my daughter's wedding. My old email address was susie528@aol.com. This is my new address -- smhawkins28@hotmail.com. Hope you are still interested in Blumetti resear h. I have been going over our old emails. I found one where you were talking about your great grandparents Stella and Francesco Blumetti. I find it interesting that his mother is a Buccolo. Maybe that is our connection but who knows. Do you know when Fr ncesco came over? My Basil came over in 1885 according to his naturalization papers. I have discovered that my Teresa Blumetti's maiden name was Buckley which I am quite certain is Americanized for Buccolo. I have ordered films again. Right now it is primarily NYC research-city directories for 1888-1892-do you need any lookups? Also a marriage and birth records for around same time period. This year for sure, we are going to NYC then on to Block Island to see where my husband's family came in. Our dates are July 6 or July 13. We will be in the city for 2-3 days. It will include the things you mentioned to me last year-library, Little Italy, Ellis Island. Do you know if there is parking for the library? From what I found on the net, it is at 5th Ave and 42nd (I think). We plan to take our walking shoes and a camera full of film. I have worked on data bases of Blumettis in NY and NJ on 1900 (NJ 1920) also Blumetti-Buccolo-Camodeco births and marriages in San Paolo, and Buccolo in NY in 1900. If you are interested in them I could send them. They are done on Microsoft Works 4.0 or would be glad to mail them to you. Enough of my chatter for now-looking forward to hearing from you. Sue Hawkins

Dear Mr. Reilly, My name is Kristen Klosek and I was reviewing your website and when I saw the picture of Frank Klosek, I thought I was looking at a picture of my grandfather, Joseph Stanley Klosek. Frank Klosek and my grandfather look like twins. My grandfather was bo n and raised in New York City. He is eighty years old today (June 9th). Both of his parents are deceased and they both came from Poland about a hundred years ago. I have heard that my grandfather's father had many brothers but I don't think they kept in c ose contact with one another. There must be some relationship between my Klosek family and your Klosek family considering the strong resemblance between Frank Klosek and Joseph Stanley Klosek. If you could, please e-mail me back with any information you h ve about the Klosek family. Thank You, Kristen Klosek

Great web site! I never lived in Brooklyn, but my Dad did. He passed away 4 years ago. My family (Grandparents and Dad) owned two catering halls (both Kosher) called the Milrose Chateau and the Terrace Deluxe. I'd love to know if any of your visitors reme bers these places or the Rosenberg family there.
