Fri. November 24, 2006 - North End Pub with The Fantods and Trevor Murphy & Big City Parking Lot
Our first show at the North End Pub was an interesting affair, including a run-in with the so-called "Russian Mafia" (don't even ask). the Fantods kicked as much ass as ever, I can't get enough of that band. It was our first time playing with Trevor Murphy & Big City Parking Lot, we especially loved their song about shitty jobs! -IT

Fri. November 10, 2006 - One World Cafe with The Fantods and The DMK Band

This show was something totally different for us, it was our first acoustic show. and we had a great time with it, even though we were sans Bill. you can watch our entire set for this show by clicking right........here
-IT

Wed. November 08, 2006 - Reflections with Big Game Hunt

This was the our first show back from our summer hiatus, and it was one of our best! a ton of people showed up and were treated to cheap drinks and loud loud music. This show was a fundraiser for the upcoming compilation which will feature both Big Game Hunt and The Search For Alexander as well as a ton of other great bands. -IT

Thurs. June 8,2006 - Gus' Pub with Azura and Trouble Rocket

A great show at Gus' despite the small crowd. We played with a tonne of fire and energy. A very amped up set with all members giving themselves to the music. Thanks to the other bands for making it a cool night.-W.

Thurs. Apr 20th, 2006 - Gus' Pub with the Alewives and Means of Egress
It's been a while since we last set up to play at Gus', and we look forward to playing with Means of Egress again. We're also excited about playing with the Alewives for the first time. C'mon down, last time it became a song! Don't miss it this time!

Sat. Mar 4th, 2006 - Metro Food Bank Benefit at the Pavilion with Timothy Street, Phollop Willing PA, and Throw This Away

TSFA has never played at the Pavilion before, nor have we with any of these acts. The whole evening was a great pleasure: Timothy Street is the punkest folk singer I have ever seen. His message was clear and his songs were deeply melodic. Phollop Willing PA also gave his message to everyone there through an interesting brand of electroacoustic instrumentation spanning styles of three decades. Throw this Away impressed me deeply, their rock was innovative, harmonic and challenging. I look forward to playing with them again. -G

Thurs. Feb 9th, 2006 - The Search for Alexander's CD Release party at the Attic with War Pony and the Fantods

Finally released! We were all pretty tired for this one, what with having a show the night before and most of us working all that day. It had started to seem that our "warmup" had worked against us somewhat. But once we got on stage, we all knew that we just had to giv'ver, we just had to push through our fatigue and drunkeness. So we did, we played harder and faster than we ever had, and once the energy started flowing and the audience got into things and passed this energy back to us, it was unstoppable. It was a fine send-off for spade, frame, flowers. -G

Wed. Feb 8th, 2006 - Reflections Cabaret with the Montgomery Moth

It's always a pleasure with the boys of the Moth. This was a very good show, very fun although I think we mostly looked at it as a warm-up for the CD release party the next night. -G

Wed. Jan, 2006 - The Attic with The Fantods and War Pony

There was no poster for this show since we were only on the roster the afternoon of the show. We'd not played at the attic before so it was a pleasure to jump on board.

Dec 17th, 2005 - Club NRG with the Kansas-Nebraska Act and Hurt the Lion

It's always good to play a new venue with a new group and this was positively no exception. The stage was set up in a kind of experimental way for us, and Hurt the Lion played their brains out on it. The KNA graciously decided to give us most of their stage time by playing an unexpectedly short set. So we did play for a pretty exclusive audience including the spastic dancing of our special guest: Michael Callie, who entertained the remaining patrons with his unique brand of comedy from tear down 'till after closing. -G

Nov 29th, 2005 - Stage 9 with Means of Egress and Safety Scissors

I think it's the general consensus that this was one of our worst played shows in a while. We've rarely been so sloppy or flat on stage. It's sad to think that all of Truro came out and saw us like that.. if by saw us I mean "ducked into the smoking room around back with the other Truro bands". Some of our loyalest fans were also present at this show, and thank god for them. -G

Oct 28th, 2005 - Parkside Pub with 2 Minutes to Maiden and the Facelift Dirtboys

PARKSIDE IN THE DARKSIDE, it was a whole new experience. I didn't know what to expect but I can't imagine having anything but a good show there: good sound setup and personnel, good bartending, good audience, not to mention that the Facelift Dirtboys and 2 Minutes to Maiden put on an intense show that was well recieved by one-and-all. -G

Sept 16th, 2005 - Seahorse with the Fantods and Scribbler

It was great to be back in our new home venue after having not played in so long. Our pent-up energy naturally wanted to spurt all over the audience and get in their hair and stuff. Good show all around. -G

June 24th, 2005 - Reflections with Sour Cream and Thomas Danton Unlimited

After a lengthy hunt for accompanying bands we've found a couple of groups that we know well, personally, this was an interesting and experimental night. All acts played with testosterone and vigour. -G

June 17th, 2005 - Fantods CD Release party with The Montgomery Moth, Scribbler, The Middleclass Pushovers and, of course, the Fantods

This was a fun show. We got to see a few bands that I'd never gotten to enjoy before and the crowd was excellent -G

June 12th, 2005 - Halifax Underground Talent night at the Thirsty Duck with the Montgomery Moth

This show popped up out of the blue when the Audients had an incident that prevented them from playing. It was a good show for the few that were there, if any y'all haven't seen the new refurbishments to the Duck stage area, go on and check it out, it's nice. -G

June 1st, 2005 - Reflections with Janus

Well, we showed up and Janus played a full set. We played for about 20 minutes and the were asked to stop. We did, however, avoid the dissapointment of cutting our setlist short by not having one to speak of. You win again iPod, next time...next time... -G .

May 27th, 2005 - Catherine's Surprise Birthday Party, with Death by Nostalgia and some other high school band without a name

We came, we yelled surprise, we played, we played well, then we played quietly, and then we listened to a bunch of 16 year olds sing along with an iPod for 20 seconds at a time. A truly inspiring..although lucrative..evening.

April 30th, 2005 - Seahorse, 5 Bands, 5 Hours, 5 Bucks! with Death by Nostalgia, The KNA, Highwater and the Audients

This was one hell of a show, we rocked from 9:00pm on to 2am, the sound was bang on, thanks to dylan, and we had all sorts of blinky blinky lights going. This marked the first time we played with Death by Nostalgia, and also the first real show with Highwater. -G

March 29, 2005 - Stage 9, opening for the KNA

This show was awesome. It was our first time with an actual set at Stage 9, sound was incredible and the house tech let me fuck around with the lighting console during the KNA's set. -G

March 19th, 2005 - Seahorse, opening for Hadrian Seven, with Janus

Janus and Hadrian Seven came along with a huge, extremely energetic crowd. This was a huge contributor to making the show what it was. This was the first time we've played at the Seahorse since they inherited the Hell's Kitchen sound system, and although the sound in the crowd was superbly mixed, the best it's ever been, the sound on stage left much to be desired. The other guys may have been ok, but without any monitor near the drums or bass amp nearby, I was flying blind and playing drumbeats entirely by memory. People say it was a good show though, I know it sounded incredible during the other bands' sets. -G

Feb 17th, 2005 - Gus' Pub with Highwater

This..I can barely even talk about this. This show didn't happen on acount of a temporary mental retardation in the management. -G

Feb 11th, 2005 - The Khyber, Lucky Comics Release Party/ Fundraiser for the Audients, the Burdocks, Francois Poulin, Outlawed Matter and more!

This was a pretty alright show. Apologies go out to the drummer of the Burdocks, whose stool I fucked up before I promptly bolted up Sackville st. -G

Feb 3rd, 2005 - Reflections Cabaret w/ The KNA

I think this has got to have been the best show we've had at Reflection's yet. The KNA kicked major ass as usual, except the show started fairly late and I think they may have thought they had to end earlier because of it. Their courtesy didn't hinder their rocking though. We played drunk and sloppy, and I think this is becoming a proven formula for us. My voice was shot, I only tried to do the "1,2,3,4" on Way Way Down the Road and I still paid for it. But shortness of breath aside, our energy was there, and even a few audience members were too. (Plus I finally fixed my snare drum for good, although Marty said he liked how it sounded broken) -G

Jan 07, 2005 - Seahorse Tavern w/ the Montgomery Moth and The Audience

This was a great show. The Moth rocked, and The Audience Rolled (even if they didn't think so, we in the real audience did). Our set may not have been technically precise but my Godd we had fun. Friends came out from all around, and many we hadn't seen before too. There were two punk mofos in the audience causing a healthy rukus, even sang along with Annabelle, arm-in-arm. During another song they ran across the stage collectively spitting a glass of beer at us. Isaac and Jay were exempt from the blast but Tim got hit hard. Even I got hit on the drumkit and I can't even see the crowd at any given point. -G

Dec 16, 2004 - Reflections Cabaret w/ the Audience

The Audience played better than I'd ever seen, which is saying alot knowing how great they are on average. It seemed that they were auditioning a vocalist that night. We noticed after the second song or so that there was a guy hiding behind a guitar amp singing into his hands. It might've been a good hiding spot if there weren't mirrors all along the back and if the backlights weren't the only ones on. Anyway, that night we tried to do the first half of our set with me on guitar and Jay on drums. It was the first time that we've devoted that much of a set to that arrangement, and I expect it will be the last. This was definantly not the best time that we've played any of those songs, in either half. -G

Nov 20, 2004 - Khyber Club opening for The Audience

This was an interesting experiment, I wasn't sure how well we'd go over in a hippie grotto like the Khyber. We tried a poppier set then usual and it was well recieved by the moderate crowd that attended. The Audience was incredible. I'm really glad that we were able to hook up with Pete, the bassist, both for playing opportunities and because he and his brother Owen are the masterminds putting together our pending EP. -G

Nov 6, 2004 - Area 52 Slop Implosion

Our one year anniversary show! This was a fun time with a mix of good and less good bands, while being a fun parody of the Pop Explosion. How Prestigious! (Yes, I made it this time!)-W.

Oct 8, 2004 - Seahorse Tavern opening for The KNA w/Montgomery Moth

Another show with these two bands I love so much. Each band playing with a total fire and passion leaves you totally spent at the end of the night. Leaves you dazed with a gentle ringing in your ears as you relax at home after, chilling to some mellow music. -W.

Oct 7, 2004 - Reflections w/Montgomery Moth

I love Montgomery Moth and every time I see them it's an inspiring experience, however they are not why I will always remember this show.
Its because my entire band dressed up, in suits and looking very sharp, while I squeezed into a slinky, liitle, hooker red number before we rocked the house. Fun Times with Friends. -W.

Sept 17, 2004 - Seahorse Tavern opening for Montgomery Moth w/The KNA

These shows are always a wicked time. Awesome bar packed with fans, friends and bands, just playing music and having a good time. Shows like this are what its all about. -W.

Sept 11, 2004 - Area 52 Party

I wasn't there. I was too drunk. -W.
Well I was there, and it's a little fuzzy to me too but I remember trying to play without Bill. There were only a couple songs that even worked without his gutar prowess and still those songs felt a little empty, but it was a good rompin, drunken, rockin good time. -G.

Sept 9, 2004 - Pitchman's Pub & Eatery Battle of the Bands Final

A fun night with a lot of cool bands and mediocre bands. A good time, plus we get a song on a compilation of the Battle of the Bands finalists. -W.

August 12, 2004 - Pitchman's Pub & Eatery Battle of the Bands Round 5

Our second Battle of the Bands. This Round featured us Syncretic and the Flying Buttresses. We finished first and advanced to the final, earning a spot on a compilation CD. -W.

June 18, 2004 - The Seahorse Tavern opening for The Pale Marys w/Heimlich

This was a weird setup where we were the opening band but ended up playing last. Heimlich gave Tim a copy of their CD and a copy of the Moncton scene compilation "An Obscene Scene" I thought the Pale Marys had a cool groove. -W.

June 16, 2004 - The Idiot w/Mardeen

These guys were really cool and a good band. The turnout to this show was lacking but it was a Wednesday. Garrett played guitar for one song with Jay on drums. Also the debut of Chore. -W.

June 11, 2004 - The Seahorse Tavern w/The KNA and Montgomery Moth

Despite P.A. problems this was an awesome show and an awesome night. A killer lineup that is great every time we play with it. -W.

June 9, 2004 - The Thirsty Duck w/The KNA

This was when The KNA was doing their Wednesday night punk nights at the Idiot. It's a shame they had to end it, they always had cool bands and a cool vibe. Plus it was a good place to go on a Wednesday night. I wore a cop hat at this show. -W.

May 14. 2004 - The Idiot opening for The Flying Buttresses

Our first opening show and our first show back at the Idiot while it was still open. This was a really cool venue, nice carpeting on the stage and such. We had an awesome turnout for this show too. -W.

Nov. 26, 2003 - Grawood Battle of the Bands

Our first battle of the bands and we played like garbage. There were sound problems as well. Needless to say, we did not place. -W.

Nov. 6, 2003 - Reflections Cabaret w/76 AM and Conflict

This was TSFA's first show AND our first headliner. This show went really good and the sound was great. We switched halfway through to Garrett on guitar and Jay on the skins. Good times. -W.
