We are a clan of all females, we are warriors. It is stated by history that the males in our clan were wiped out because they lacked the strength needed to survive. To survive, we follow the teachings of our Goddess Cerridwen. In return she gives us children. The Risen Sun has little to do with the battles between Werewolves and other races. We are mostly concerned with our own survival. We live in the glory of the sun.
During the two weeks of the Beltane Fires, baby female Werewolves appear on altars surrounded by Moon Flowers. This is our deal with the Goddess. For two weeks we celebrate and bring offerings to Cerridwen. When the time for celebration is up, each new child is sworn in as a member of the Clan of The Risen Sun. They are given a pendant in the shape of a sun which is worn at all times. Our female warriors test their strength often in preparation of the day that Werewolves will once again rule. The Clan Alpha, Rua Mactíre, was chosen as leader by the Alpha before her. So goes the rite of choosing a leader. Our warriors are a deadly foe in battle. Many times our enemies have underestimated the power of a female Werewolf. Oftentimes males will aim badly or not at all thinking it is wrong to kill a female. Much to their demise. Our clan is close knit and oftentimes will accept runaway females from other clans. This not only helps our population, but helps those female Werewolves in need.
During the Beltane ritual, we light fires all across our territory. We lay out fresh flowers and food as offerings to our Goddess. Our Goddess Cerridwen, appears to us that night in the body of one of the clan members. It is at this time she gives us directions and we offer our good will toward her. In the morning our priestesses find the new cubs awaiting us around the altars of our Goddess. They are surrounded by moon flowers which is the symbol of a female Werewolf. Oftentimes female Werewolves are given a creature to care for in later years.
Members of The Risen Sun often have patterns stained into their fur with indigo dye. Their position in the clan is decreed by the earings they wear. Oftentimes during festivals, cloaks of bright color are worn in worship.
Our Priestess EarthLight is very famous for taking the form of the goddess during a time other then the Beltane Fires. The sisters RoseSun & RoseMoon are also famous for their plans of battle and dabling in magic which allow us to have a step up when it comes to fighting. |
