The Shallot
Network, Inc. was established only two years ago, however it has over
twenty years of experience to back its efforts. |
The Shallot Network, Inc. was
the logical next step for Mr. Jose Manalo, the entrepreneur behind JM's
Agricultural Marketing, Inc.. Having gone into the agricultural exports
business in the late 70's he first began operations in the backyard of his
home in Quezon City and started with the export of Mangoes and Garlic to
Hong Kong and Singapore. |
Growth would take off in the
early 80s when JM's started to focus on the marketing and export of fresh
Red Shallots. Since then he has expanded his market to include Indonesia. |
Even with JM's already growing
at a steady rate, Mr. Manalo realized the still vast potential of the red
shallots, and thus began searching for alternative production techniques.
This was how the Shallot Network would eventually come into existence. |
The Decades Old Formula |
|
Twenty years of doing business internationally and growth has distilled the lessons of experience into the company's own business philosophy.
First, and foremost, is ensuring customer satisfaction. We recognize that the only way to grow is for our consumers to continue buying our products. We can only secure this by providing them with products that not only meet but exceed their expectations when it comes to quality. We deliver only the best and we only deliver promptly.
Second, good business is about building relationships. JM's Agricultural Marketing, Inc. has itself built business relationships that are several years and even decades long. Business relationships that are not limited to its clients but also extend to farmers and suppliers. A good relationship is about fairness, respect, and mutual growth; as such we make all our dealings - with clients and with suppliers - with this in mind. |
