Cute and cuddly tips for your new friend!

Dogs
Teaching your dog tricks requires patents, especially in the beginning. A pet is just as likely to ignore your request or even get nasty if the session goes on too long (biting your pants cuff is a good indication of boredom). However, your dog will eventually perform like a champ. The tricks menu includes: high flip, bounce, jump, low flip and play dead. (When your dog is still mastering a trick the menu displays Train bounce, train high-flip etc…
Cats
Ultra-independent cats do not come to mind as trick animals, but they do have a sense of style that is perfectly featured in The Sims Unleashed. No fetching or doing flips for Sim cats. The trick menu includes box, dance and play keyboard, and the performances are memorable. The training process is exactly the same as for dogs. Hire the pet trainer at Pet Paradise for an accelerated course. Or take the long route and train your cat at home.

Obedience
With housebreaking out of the way, you are left with Tricks and Obedience (Sit and Stay). Unlike tricks, you cannot hire the pet trainer to teach your dog obedience, so we recommend getting it started here first. Don't expect too much from your first few lessons of sit and stay. However, the process is cumulative, so each time you train the pet. The progress bar picks up from the last session. As your pet's obedience skill improves, the sit and stay command becomes increasingly ore difficult as your Sim turns her back on the animal or even engages in activities in another room.

The concept of Obedience training is exactly the same for cats as it is for dogs. The process is slot but cumulative, and you must keep coming back for repeated sessions until your cat is in show-shape!
