Meeting in Residence
One of the advantages of living in the residence is that if you want to talk with somebody or to organize a exit for the night you just have to go in the kitchen and wait for somebody to show up. That usually takes around 5 minutes, then you have to decide if you want to wait for somebody else or if you're ready to go. There are also meetings in the floors every time that a major event is shown in TV.

The photo below shows what happens when major football matches happen: people gathers to watch TV. You can enlarge it.

This other photo shows what is likely to happen when all the people gathers into the kitchen and they decide that it is not good to go out so they start drinking right there. You can enlarge it.

Clubbing
I
n Thessaloniki there is a lot of nightlife. The fact that the city is crowded by students is the reason for the extremely high number of pubs - discos and clubs. There are almost fun oriented "districts". Actually the majority of the club lies from the white tower towards the west and we find in order :

1 - The pubs in the seaside. The seaside for 1Km is completely made up of cafes and pubs.
2 - The district of Ladadica, next to the port, which hosts more than 15 clubs & discos in a area of almost one square kilometers. If you're going there for clubbing I advise the Abya Yala, the Dizzy Dolls and the Libido for the Rock types.
3 - Just a little outside of the city towards the national road there are Vilca which is a structure resembling a shopping mall with one gym, some restaurants and lots of pubs and places to hang out at night.
4 - A little bit further from Vilca finally there is the "Milos" and this is definitely a "shopping mall" for nightlife with many restaurants, clubs and discos all in one structure. Also in the Milos hosts frequently live music events. The Milos takes its name from being formerly a abandoned mill which has been converted into more remunerative night use.  Be sure to visit the Art Factory and the free summer concerts.

On the other side of the city, west side from the town there are some clubs but without the same concentration as the Ladadica-Vilca-Milos complexes. Some are dancing halls, some are nightlife oriented coffees and some are privè club. In the summer season some of the most known discos of the City open their summer space next to the airport. Also important during summertime are the beach clubs of the peninsula of Halkidiki.

For some erasmus clubbing please take a look at the activities page.

Dinners
F
rom time to time people wants to eat somehow differently. In these occasion a dinner is needed. There are really a lot of restaurants and all of them are cheap. Specially if you go into a typical Greek taverna or "Psistaria" you can get a full dinner with 2000-3000Drx. Specialty of Greece is meat but you will discover by yourself when you arrive here.

This is one Italian group at the "last dinner" of Matteo (I mean, the last in greece). You can enlarge it by clicking.

That's another more international group at the "last" exit of Agnescka (polland)

Cinema
When you wish you can also go and have a night at the cinema. The current price of a ticket is 2000Drx (~6 €). Fortunately most of the movies are played in the original language (usually English) with Greek subtitles.
Your favorite cinema will, probably, be the cinema of Nea Platia (new square). That's a commercial center located 20mt from the main square of the city. This cinema has got 6 different projection rooms and they are quite confortable. Another valuable option is the Olympion Cinema. This one is in the central square of the city and has some promotional movies played free through the year. Another option is the local communist party cinema which plays for free all the year round, in this case is not first class movies... but it's for free!
T
he last option is the Warner Village Center. This one is outside the city on the road to the airport next to the continent discount. To go there  you will need a car or a bike.
