FOR THOSE WHO CAME IN LATE ...
I have
added to the Multimedia section again with some more pictures.
This time I have some production pictures from the Phantom
Serial, grabs from Defenders of the Earth and animation cells
from the Phantom 2040.
|
I
been very busy at the moment with work and stuff which explains
the lack of updates lately ( I hope ), but after a while I should
settle back into the swing of things. If I were to be able to
create one ... would you want a Phantom screensaver and possibly
a MS PLUS Theme to go with it? Let me know. If I don't get enough
interest I won't bother. |

FOR THOSE WHO CAME IN LATE ...
I
hope you all enjoyed my last update (which was pretty big)
... the one that gave you access to lots of sounds and pictures
from the Phantom Movie. I am trying to accumulate some stuff
which relates to the Phatom 2040 cartoon series. If you have
any media (it is very scarce) and you want me to host it here.
Please contact me.

On
a more personal level, I installed Windows 2000 on my computer
recently and to put it mildly ... well ... it rocks! It's much
better than Win98 & definitly 95. There are a few compatability
problems to iron out but apart from that I am very happy!!! |

FOR THOSE WHO CAME IN LATE ...
If you
are having problems with sounds
from the Multimedia section the most likely cause was your
download itself. I have double-checked the sounds myself.
I recommend using a Download Manager like GoZilla or Getright
which will allow you to retrieve lost downloads. You should
be able to download these excellent programs from the TUCOWS
sites.
|
You may have noticed that most of the Multimedia hasn't been
accessible in the last week or so. This was necessary to creat
room for much more content! I have now made some updates to
the pictures
and sounds
sections which include some very high quality sounds from the
(1996) Phantom movie, and some stills (pictures) also from the
movie, respectively. Please enjoy! |

FOR THOSE WHO CAME IN LATE ...
Sorry
about the lack of updates to this site of late. But just because
I am not updating doesn't mean I'm not listening to my visitor's
concerns. There are a few matters to address.
FIRST:
There were some problems with people downloading incomplete
copies of sounds from
the Multimedia section. Let me please say that the sounds
are ok and the most likely cause was your download itself.
I have double-checked the sounds myself. If you have experienced
problems with broken downloads then I recommend using a Download
Manager like Go!Zilla or Getright. You should be able to download
these excellent programs from the TUCOWS
sites.
|
SECOND:
I will be making some updates to the pictures
and sounds sections which
will include respectively some very high quality sounds from
the (1996) Phantom movie, and some stills (pictures) also from
the movie. Check back soon. |
THIRD:
There has been some discussion about getting our own exclusive Phantom
newsgroup. We need to get lots of discussion going about the Phantom
in the newsgroup: alt.comics.alternative.
Direct your newsreader to this address to post messages. If you
need a little help, go to our special
page.
FOURTH:
When is this list going to stop :P
FIFTH:
I am a little disillusioned in the current state of the Phantom
web ring and will be creating my own very soon. If you would
like to have an entry on this list then please stay posted. I will
be more stringent in adding new quality sites and getting rid of
dead wood which no longer has Phantom content.
There are a
few methods to get in touch with me (look @ the contact section):
1. Monkey Mail: quickest method to reach me via email.
2. the Chronicles: a good spot to leave comments about
the site.
3. Phantom Forum: a discussion group to converse with
other fans about anything related to the Phantom. Common topics
relate to merchandise.
All comments
allow me to cater more towards the needs of my visitors.

FOR THOSE WHO CAME IN LATE ...
Well to
get a point across: the new site is doing really well and
is starting to get some more hits coming through.
There
was one unfortunate problem however, this site wasn't enhanced
for Netscape users. It is fixed now but to all of the Netscape
users out there I apologise profusely! The site should now
look to you how it was originally meant to though.
the
Phantom Phorum; is definitely looking like it was a good
idea with a few people using it to query a few points. Well
done! The Merchandise
section has been updated.
Thanks
for all of the Birthday wishes that I received from everyone!
One project that I am working on at the moment is the Phantom
Lexicon. This will be an A - Z guide to everything and
everyone in the world of the Phantom. Like an encyclopaedia.
If you would like to contribute
to this project please use the Monkey
Mail to get in touch with me.
Please
give me as much feedback as you can through the Monkey Mail
section. This will allow me to cater more towards the needs
of my visitors.

FOR THOSE WHO CAME IN LATE ...
Well apart
from tomorrow (29-03-00) being my birthday I have added some
more sounds to the Sounds
section, as well as some extra info about the special type
of WAV file found there.
There
is now a VERY complete
chronicle of the Phantom's publishing history with FREW
currently available. This took a fair while (as you could
imagine) and I hope that it proves to be a valuable resource
for Australian collectors and fans alike.
|
Work on
the Phantom Lexicon is progressing very well. So far I have
a fair bit of information going but I always need more! Please
send me some info through the Monkey
Mail.
You may
also notice that I have included a support
section at the bottom of this page. Please use it if you
feel you have gotten some useful information out of this site.

FOR THOSE WHO CAME IN LATE ...
Well
the new design has finally been completed. I am hoping to
make the Phantom's World one of the most complete web
sites about the Phantom out in the WWW.
I
hope that you will browse through all of our sections!
The ones that stand out are: the
Phantom Phorum; the Phantom
Hotel; and the Sightings
sections. Also the Slide
Puzzle has
been fixed to run on both Netscape and Internet Explorer.
You still need to make sure you have the latest versions of
either browser though.
