WHAT IS THE STRIPED STAR AWARD??
The Tiger Stripe's Striped Star Award is an exclusive Tiger Stripe Award for
the Richmond Football Club player who best exhibits the attributes of the
'Tigers of old', including strength, determination, hardness at the ball, committment and
sportsmanship. Each week, five players who exhibit the afformentioned
attributes are awarded 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1 votes respectively. Any player found guilty
of an offence at the AFL tribuneral will be striped of any points previously awarded
for the corresponding game (points will not be re-allocated), but will remain
eligable for the award. At the end of the year, the player with the most votes is the winner of the Striped Star Award.
