Tanjung Langsat industrial park, one of the largest petrochemical and petroleum-based industrial area in the region is now under construction.

The 4,700 acres industrial park is also reputed to be the only park in Malaysia catering mainly to the petoleum and petrochemical-based industry.

The industrial park will also have a dedicated RM338 million seaport, named Tanjung Langsat Port, measuring some 600 acres along the seafront.   This industrial park is estimated to get RM10 billion investment in the next two years.

Phase one of the park will be ready by the year 1999.
