Welcome to the wonderful world of fishing! My name is Daniel Wan and I grew up in Penang, West Malaysia. I recently graduated from the University of Melbourne (Australia) in 2001 with a degree in Information Systems.

I have been fishing the waters around Penang Island since 12 years old and my favourite spots are the numerous wrecks within a 30 mile radius off the island. Most of my fishing knowledge comes from trial and error throughout the years as well as learning from elder and more experienced anglers.

The Malaysian FishSite came about in 1997 when I first learnt HTML in Secondary School and it has come a long way since then with more pictures and articles. I know that several FishSite visitors have e-mailed me and did not receive any reply. This is due to my old inefficient e-mail provider so my apologies to you all. I have since then changed my e-mail address to szewing@yahoo.com A big thank you to all FishSite visitors for your continued support. Malaysia Boleh!
