What am I listening to...

Music for the ears

Well, the section on music was getting too large so I decided to dedicate it a whole page of its own...

So what type of music do I listen to? I'm very open and listen to almost anything except Country and Marilyn Manson (yes I hate Marilyn Manson :p) ... But my favorite music is (I think) latin music... Not just cuz I'm latino myself, but I think that music keeps you going no matter in what mood you are... and also the dancing! I listen to Salsa (but unfortunately can't dance it) and Merengue (eso si bailo)... When I was in Costa Rica I had my first taste of Reggae, and I luv'd it! Techno too! in other words, if you can dance it, I'll like it.

now I have a pretty nifty collection of CDs, thanks to my days working at Borders, among my favorites include: Shakira (all), Noelia (tu, candela), Cristian Castro(all), Myriam Hernandez (the old stuff), Enya(all), Sarah Brightman (a permanent fave), and other sappy stuff.

If in dancing mood, any merengue will do.

However, among my all-time favorite artists is Thalia...

Who?

Thalia home page ...Who's that chick? She is a latin superstar ...the chick who sings "Piel Morena" and "Mujer Latina". Wanna hear her doing Piel Morena? well then click on the title for a ra sample :-)

Ricardo Montaner is one of the most profound artists around. Though he doesn't sing in English, you can feel the power of his songs no matter what language you speak, I think. Not only does he have an incredible vocal range, but his songs inspire the deepest of emotions to vibrate as he sings them. One of his best works includes "Dejame Llorar" (Let me Cry), "Tan Enamorados" (So deep in love), and "A donde va el Amor" (Where does love go?). All of them have lyrics that can make anyone whimper with emotion. check out a website about him at Pagina de Ricardo Montaner

You can also listen to "Solo con un Beso" by Ricardo here with realaudio...

*or* if you have winamp, here is an mp3 file of his best song ever, "Dejame Llorar".
