In the morning we wanted to visit a forest near Nimfea. But as we took some wrong turns, we ended up in the hamlet itself.

Nimfea is a really small town, just some 15 houses. We met a couple of inhabitants, and so far we could tell, only youngsters and old people live there. The houses are of poor quality, some even on the virge of collapsing. It looked like a dying town, but it is certainly worthwhile the visit.

The hamlet is situated very beautiful within the mountains. We climbed upon one to get a better view of the area. |

Way up in the mountains, we ran into a lot of turttles. Funny these beasts live on such an altitude and seem to climb steep slopes.

Later that afternoon we went back to Komotini to continue the journey to Alexandroupoli, where we spent the night in a noisy hotel.
