Animal Kingdom

"I have learned from the
animal world. And what everyone will learn who studies it is a renewed sense of kinship
with the earth and all of its inhabitants." - Walt Disney.
Welcome to Walt Disney World's NEWEST Theme park. This amazing new addition to the Disney Family opened in April of 1998, and I think that it is one of the greatest places in WDW.It is separated into several areas: The Oasis, Dinoland USA, Safari Village, Africa, and soon Asia. Each of these lands offers amazing attractions, shopping and dining!
The Oasis
After the long walk across the parking lot guests enter at this amazing lush, tropical jungle. There are lots of animals to see here and soothing waterfalls, shady paths, and a relaxing way to enter the park. You can choose to get through fast or to stop and enjoy the beauty.
Safari Village
The Tree of Life
This amazing 14 story masterpiece is the center icon of Animal Kingdom, there are over 300 animal carvings on it and inside guests can see a 3-D show about a bug's life in Its tough to be a bug many sound, feel, and smell special effects await you at this show.
Discovery River Boats
Hop aboard a boat and sail along the Discovery River, your guide will introduce you to the park and you will encounter several creatures on your trip.
Theater in the Wild
At this huge outdoor theater guests are shown various live stage shows.
Caravan Stage
This not as big stage is at the back of Safari
Village, it hosts a show with a cast of many birds that perform amazing feats.
Dinoland U.S.A.
The Boneyard
At this huge sandy playground guests can did for dinosaur bones, you can also play dino instruments and go
on dino slides.
Countdown to Extinction
After a tremendously long wait, you see a short film explaining your mission and then you hop on a time machine and go back in time to save the last of the Dinosaurs, you encounter many terrifying dinos on your way and the mighty T-Rex is so scary that I went pale when he screamed into my face. If
you don't want that: sit on the LEFT side. Even thought this side offers some wild dinos as well. This attraction is pretty scary and might not be good for little kids.
Cretaceous Trail
This nice CALM pathway takes you on a walk through some of the plants that have survived from the Cretaceous period. There is also a big rubber dinosaur to climb on!
Africa
Kilimanjaro Safaris
This is one of the best rides in WDW. After an unpredictable wait. You jump into an off track Safari vehicle and take a journey into the African Savanna with the Harambe Wildlife Center! After seeing tons of animals, you chase poachers and...do you save the Elephants on the
Reserve? You'll have to find out!
Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail
This walk through trail is very interesting, after going through a netted in bird and fish area, you will see a hippo exhibit which lets you view under the water, then you're off to the peaks that are filled with beautiful views of the African landscape. Finally you get to see the gorillas which are truly amazing.
Conservation Station
This interactive area teaches you how to conserve and protect animals, it features a petting zoo, cameras in the back of animal's cages, an interactive area that lets you hear from
people around the world
Asia
This land has opened, but I have not been there, all I know is that there is a really cool water rafting ride in it.
